What Our Community is Saying

I love living here. There is a feeling of community and we all look out for each other. The activities offered here are always fun and you are welcome to join in if you would like.
Marge S, Seniors Independent Living Tenant
I enjoy it all! The meals are good, the supports and staff are fantastic, I couldn’t want more. I love my apartment and the view from my patio door, and make very good use of my patio space every chance I can.
Dot H, Seniors Independent Living Tenant

We couldn’t say enough great things about living at Maplewoods. We feel safe and happy where we live, the care is excellent, and we enjoy the variety of wellness programs available. We feel the Community Outreach team reaches our needs and exceeds our expectations.

Kate and Mike M, Seniors Independent Living Tenants
I feel pleased and blessed to be living in a great senior’s apartment, and the Community Outreach staff work hard to meet everybody’s needs. The wellness services offered are a great way to maintain a social connection with the community. I really enjoy the hot and frozen meal deliveries, as we support local businesses and can enjoy a healthy, perfectly portioned meal at a very affordable cost.
Marilyn H, Community Outreach participant
As my husband (co-resident) always says, ‘we have a roof over our head, a warm bed to sleep in, 3 meals a day and all the help we could ever need, what more could we ask for?’  I enjoy playing physical games as it always involves a lot of laughter.  Listening and singing along to old time music at musical entertainment programming brings me so much joy.  It is also such a blessing to have access to the Huron County library so that I can keep reading.
Marion S, Blue Water Rest Home resident
I get all the care I need and then some. The staff are very enjoyable and always make me feel welcome, no matter what the circumstance.
Jean H, Blue Water Rest Home resident
I appreciate the care that I receive from staff and there is always something to do around here if you want to be involved.  My favourite programs are small group exercise class, ice cream social visits, musical entertainment and happy hour!
Jim H, Blue Water Rest Home resident
